When and where does the British Pullman train travel?
The British Pullman luxury train travels year-round to a wide variety of destinations, including Kent, Oxfordshire, Hampshire and Surrey. The main departure station is London Victoria.
When will we receive our confirmed itinerary and travel documents?
Your travel documents and itinerary will be sent to you by email once we have received confirmed timings from Network Rail (approximately 5 days prior to departure).
What do I wear on the British Pullman train?
British Pullman is the perfect place to celebrate, dress up, enjoy world-class cuisine and refined service. To maintain an elegant and enjoyable atmosphere for our guests, we have certain dress code expectations. Please avoid casual clothing, including denim, trainers, baseball caps, collarless T-shirts and shorts.
We reserve the right to ask guests not suitably attired to change, otherwise we may refuse boarding. While jackets and ties are not essential, smart attire and even formal dress is welcomed. Aboard our beautiful train, you can never be overdressed.
Can you guarantee a table for two onboard?
Your table type will be confirmed at the time of booking. Please note that we offer tables of 2, 3 and 4.
Are all our meals and drinks included?
While you are on board your meals and drinks, as described in the itinerary, are included. A selected range of alternative alcoholic drinks are also available for purchase.
Can you cater for special dietary requirements, such as vegetarian or vegan?
Yes. If notified at the time of booking, we will do our best to comply with any dietary requirements. Unfortunately, we are unable to provide meals requiring strict religious observance in preparation.

Will I need travel insurance?
We recommend that you purchase adequate travel insurance for your trip, including cover for loss of deposits and/or other costs that you might incur if you cancel your reservation. Belmond cannot be held responsible for any loss of this kind. Please refer to the details contained within the booking conditions.
Can children travel onboard?
Our luxury journeys are planned to maximise the enjoyment of the scenery while fine food, champagne and wine are served at your table. Onboard the British Pullman train, we have a superb selection of journeys for families. Please note that families will be seated in a designated area of the trains.
Can I smoke onboard?
In accordance with British Law, smoking is not permitted aboard the British Pullman train. This no smoking policy also includes electronic cigarettes/vaping.
Can you arrange accommodation if I want to stay overnight in London?
Yes, we can arrange accommodation at The Cadogan, A Belmond Hotel. Alternatively, continue your British adventure in Oxfordshire and book a room at Le Manoir Aux Quat’Saisons, A Belmond Hotel. For more information, please contact our reservations office at reservations.pul@belmond.com.
Can I bring luggage onboard the British Pullman train?
We can certainly accommodate a small overnight bag (normally the size of an airline cabin luggage) onboard the train. Once you board the train simply hand this to your dedicated steward and they will ensure it is securely and safely stowed for you.
Can I get a group discount?
Yes. The minimum number of passengers required to qualify for a group discount is 14. The British Pullman luxury train can also be chartered. Further details are available in the Groups section of our website.
Is the British Pullman train pulled by a steam engine?
The British Pullman train is hauled by a diesel engine however, on selected dates a steam engine is used. Where advertised, every effort is made to operate using steam traction for all or part of the journey. It is possible that diesel or electric traction may have to be substituted at short notice. In this event, a full or partial refund may be applied.
Can I buy souvenirs or presents on board?
Yes. Smaller items can be purchased on board, while larger gifts can be ordered through our catalogue.
