Days 1 & 2
La Voulte-sur-Rhône to Viviers
Board Napoléon for your cruise along the Rhône. Toast the start of your adventure with chilled champagne with your dedicated crew and guide. After settling into your cabin, enjoy a cocktail cruise with an aperitif on board as an introduction to Rhône Valley's regional wines. Later, savour your first gastronomic experience on the water.
Relax on deck this morning and drink in the vivid countryside. After lunch on board, disembark with your guide for a walking tour of Viviers, a tiny medieval village brimming with historic charm. Back at the barge, why not test your throwing skills in a traditional Provençal game of pétanque? Your efforts will be rewarded with refreshing cocktails and a curated selection of Southern France's delicacies.

Days 3 & 4
Roquemaure – Avignon
On our third day you may like to visit the delightful village of Grignan, famous for its wild roses and imposing medieval château. Accompanied by your guide, visit a truffle farm and indulge in a precious tasting. Enjoy a leisurely lunch at a local restaurant before rejoining the barge for a continued journey towards the south. Tonight, enjoy a scenic dinner on board in the rural mooring of Roquemaure.
This morning, we glide past the magnificent Pont du Gard. You might like to take a swim in the tranquil waters beneath this remarkable piece of Roman architecture. Lunch is served on the barge as we gently cruise to Avignon. This afternoon's excursion is to Châteauneuf du Pape, the summer home of the Avignon Popes famous for its stunning wines. Enjoy a tour and a delicious tasting before a delightful dining experience on shore.

Days 5 & 6
Vallabrègues – Avignon
Today, a walking tour introduces you to the walled city of Avignon. Visit the magnificent Palais des Papes, and enjoy free time to shop, sample Avignon’s café society, or watch the world go by in the gorgeous square. Return to Napoléon for lunch and a cruise further south to Vallabrègues. From here, your guide leads you to Les Baux-de-Provence. Linger over views of beautiful olive groves and the rugged Alpilles mountains before returning to the barge for dinner.
After breakfast, join your guide for a fascinating tour of Arles. This picturesque scene famously inspired artist Vincent Van Gogh to paint hundreds of works here from 1888-9. Return to the barge for lunch as you cruise back towards Avignon. Later in the afternoon, take a stroll through the lovely town of Saint-Rémy, the birthplace of Nostradamus. Relish the enchanting ambience as you exchange stories of your extraordinary trip over your final epicurean feast.
