Days 1 & 2

St-Jean-de-Losne

The epicurean delights begin before you even reach the boat with a pause near Auxerre for a two-Michelin-starred lunch at La Côte Saint-Jacques. On the banks of the River Yonne, Jean-Michel Lorain conjures up colourful, playful and surprising dishes that spotlight the finest quality ingredients. Take your seat for a fabulous experience at his five-star retreat and a delectable dinner at night before you join Lilas, A Belmond Boat.

On the second day of your epicurean cruise, enjoy your first cruise to Seurre. Alight for a spectacular lunch at the three-Michelin starred Lameloise – the exquisite exposed stone interiors celebrate Burgundian heritage, while each dish you dine on promises to be a mouthwatering masterpiece. After lunch, drive the gorgeous Route des Grands Crus, passing the iconic villages of the Cote d’Or. You’ll arrive at a local wine producer for a private wine tasting before returning to the boat for another delicious dinner on board.

Days 3 & 4

Chalon-sur-Saône to Tournus

Enjoy a gentle morning relaxing on the deck as the barge weaves downstream towards Chalon-sur-Saône. After lunch, head to a private tour of Burgundy’s fabled Hôtel-Dieu in Beaune. Peruse the cobbled streets and boutiques of Beaune, then head to Joseph Drouhin’s cellar where the King of France and Duke of Burgundy formerly stored their rare collection of wines. Return to the barge and prepare for another sensational Michelin-starred experience this evening at Table de Levernois, helmed by Chef Philippe Augé.

On the fourth day, step ashore in Tournus for a beautiful walk to St Philibert Abbey, a gem of Romanesques architecture. Then take a short drive to Brancion to enjoy the gorgeous views overlooking the Brionnais. This evening, a Michelin-starred dinner is served Aux Terrasses – Chef Jean-Michel Carrette’s bold, unexpected dishes include delights like charcoal-grilled octopus and hay-smoked pigeon.

Day 5, 6 and 7

Mâcon to Lyon

Lilas departs early this morning, heading towards Mâcon. Step ashore at the iconic Roche de Solutré and climb the limestone escarpment for breathtaking views across the beautiful city. Tonight, you’ll dine in Vonnas, home to the world-famous Restaurant Georges Blanc. This Michelin-starred establishment has retained its three stars since 1981.

The next day, enjoy a beautiful cruise to Lyon. There, join your guide for a walking tour of the city and discover the traboules, secret passageways of the old town. Enjoy some free time before you visit the Cité Internationale de la Gastronomie, an imaginative sensorial exhibition, cementing the city’s reputation as a food lover’s paradise.

For your last night of this epicurean cruise, you’ll dine at the Restaurant Paul Bocuse. This two-Michelin-starred restaurant is an institution in Lyon, serving up delights such as black truffle soup, sea bass in a puff pastry shell and turbot with champagne sauce, before joining Lilas onboard for one last night.

On Day 7, enjoy a final breakfast aboard before the crew bids you farewell for your onward travel.
