Days 3 & 4

Arles – Roquemaure

After a delicious breakfast, you may wish to embark on a walking tour of Arles. With extraordinary Roman ruins, shady boulevards and colourful houses baking beneath the sun, the old town famously inspired the artist Van Gogh, who painted hundreds of works here from 1888-9. Return to the boat for lunch as you cruise back to Avignon. This evening, prepare for a sumptuous dinner in a beautiful local restaurant.

This morning, we take a scenic cruise to the beautiful rural mooring of Roquemaure. Enjoy lunch on board before alighting with your guide to visit Châteauneuf du Pape, summer residence of the Avignon popes, but equally famous for its stunning wines. Visit a private winery and taste their prestigious reds. This evening, relax over dinner on board.

Days 5 & 6

Viviers – La Voulte-sur-Rhône

Unwind onboard this morning during a leisurely cruise through the Bollène-Écluse. Savour a lunch of seasonal delicacies on board before arriving in Viviers. Take the opportunity to wander through this tiny medieval city that brims with historic charm. Later, ignite your senses on a visit to a typical Provençal lavender farm, where the colours and scents are intoxicating. Return to Napoléon for dinner and a chilled evening under the stars.

Your guide may suggest a morning jaunt to Grignan, famous for its wild roses. Enjoy a precious tasting at a prestigious truffle farm. Linger over lunch at a charming local restaurant before returning to the barge. We moor in Tournon, just past the Côtes du Rhône vineyards. Just a few steps from the barge lies a distinguished local winery, where a private tour and tasting is arranged for you to enjoy, while Chef prepares your farewell feast onboard.
