CRAFTSMANSHIP
Creating a Timeless Artwork
Inspired by Renaissance cabinets of curiosity and astronomical observatories, JR partnered with master artisans to craft a train carriage of unparalleled detail. Blending the storied legacy of the Venice Simplon-Orient-Express with bold, timeless design, the interiors feature stained glass by Michael Mayer, scalloped walls, bespoke marquetry and photography frames.
Hidden within, a miniature model reveals a secret diorama of revellers from JR's Giants series, animated on tiny screens. This whimsical, intricate masterpiece invites curious guests to uncover its hidden delights, celebrating craftsmanship with a blend of artistry and innovation.
