Today, disembark for extraordinary experiences in Taman Negara, with its dense jungle, lush mountains and diverse wildlife. Here, you choose from three extraordinary tours: tiger conservation, nature photography or a cave tour.

Sip champagne in this amazing environment, then return to the train for an elegant lunch. Pass the afternoon with board games like mahjong and Go Game, sample traditional teas, or simply admire the passing scenery.

Meet The Cellar Master

Didier Mariotti

For more than 250 years, the art, knowledge and secrets of Cellar Masters have been passed from one generation to the other. Today, they lie in the hands of Didier Mariotti, the 11th to hold the prestigious title at Veuve Clicquot.

Born in a family of winemakers, Didier developed a passion for fine winemaking early in his life, starting his bright career in Epernay alongside Moët & Chandon. From Nicolas Feuillatte to Mumm, where he was appointed Chief Winemaker & Wine Director, Didier's core mission has always been to create exceptional wines behind each label and bottle.

The true guardian of the Maison’s spirit, Didier will accompany you on board the Solaire journey, sharing his exclusive insights and the “raison d’être” of the most emblematic Veuve Clicquot cuvées.

Day 3

Penang

Enjoy breakfast in your cabin and explore our train's vintage carriages, perhaps joining us for a reserve wine tasting and quiz.

After a traditional lunch, we disembark at Penang Island. There's a choice of excursions here that make the most of Malaysia’s cultural melting pot, with different options for art lovers in Georgetown Old Quarter, food aficionados with a cookery class, or a tri-shaw and driver for independent travellers.

Tonight, we gather for a spectacular finale gala dinner with live music and a DJ. Later, we pass by the bright lights of Kuala Lumpur.

Day 4

Singapore

Rise early for one final farewell breakfast, complete with champagne. All too soon we arrive in Singapore, where you depart the Eastern & Oriental Express with a lifetime of memories.

  • Two glasses of champagne and a bottle of Veuve Cliquot, sporting the iconic orange label, stand out against a sunny blue sky.
  • Veuve Clicquot

Founded in Reims in 1772, the luxury Champagne house of Veuve Clicquot remains faithful to its motto: “Only one quality, the finest.” ln 1805, Madame Clicquot took the helm and became one of the first businesswomen of modern times, known as “la grande dame de la Champagne.” Her free spirit, audacity, and desire to innovate have inspired the House ever since.

Veuve Clicquot’s iconic wine, Brut Carte Jaune, is synonymous with more than two centuries of know-how and an exceptional heritage. The colour yellow, featured on the House labels since 1877, is an ode to joy and optimism, the rising sun, the promise of new.

Creating a tasting journey that seamlessly marries tradition and modernity, Veuve Clicquot will present unique and very rare champagnes directly from their collection in Reims.
